Skiing at Huaibei

IMG_3640On Saturday a whole group of us drove to the Huabei International Ski resort three hours north of Beijing for a day of burning up and down the longest run! Skiing in Beijing is a far cry from the Alps but it is a hell of a lot closer so we don’t complain too much. It was a fun afternoon and only Robbie managed to stack it ass-over-tit on the steep bit. Plonker.

Enjoy the pics.

  • Looks like fun, I just hope the air is not that bad anymore. As you all know, when the day of the Olympics came, they shutdown all their factories just to make the air more breathable. That's the only drawback other than that the place is great!
  • Nice picture, the timing is really good but I'm confuse that he doesn't use a goggles to protect his eyes. most of the skiers I've seen are using goggles or some sun glasses.
  • I haven't been there but I'm sure it's a nice place to spend vacation because I really love skiing.
  • You guys should give it a try, Skiing is totally rocking in China, I just love being there!
  • Never been to China, but surely will visit some day, I have heard a lot about the skiing experiences in China, will definitely have a shot at it soon!

About

Salted Lolly is the blog of Olly Stedall, a Brit living and working in Beijing, China. Why Salted Lolly you ask? Well it's an anagram of Olly Stedall, which may not be a great name but hopefully it's better than the alternative - Versatile Doll (!) - an anagram of Oliver Stedall.
