I thought it was fun to start the year by first, actually writing a <br>new post, and secondly writing the post of the moment which everyone seems <br>to be doing, so without further ado here were online predictions for 2007.

I was browsing the web earlier and somehow stumbled upon a drawing of the house I grew up in. It seems the new owners must have had it commissioned. Amazing what you can find on the Interweb

I predict that in 2007 the following easy-to-follow process will be a huge hit for office workers who want an easy way to communicate with their colleagues, suppliers and customers, while maintaining a really nice retro-vibe:

1. Compose a new message in Outlook
2. Print the message, using Outlook's excellent "File > Print" facilities.
3. Either:

- Take the print-out to a nearby Xerox or Canon photocopier with a scan-to-PDF facility; or

- Create a PDF using Adobe Acrobat.

(either way, this step ensures secure and easy filing of an easy-to-print and yet electronic copy of the message for future use. Place the freshly created pdf in "My Documents" or another folder of your choice)

4. Fax the Outlook Print-out to your intended recipient, hole-punch it and then place it in a lever-arch file.

It's completely foolproof, ultra-secure and also provides a bit more of an exercise regime every time you send someone a message.

Once this takes off, I predict that in 2008 all the big players will bring out new technologies enabling easier printing, PDF-ing and hard-copy storage of SMS messages.
